Atcha support

Atcha translates a talk while it is given. The speaker talks in the iPhone app or in the browser, and the audience reads the translation on their own phones. Here are answers to the most common questions, and how to reach us.

Contact

Write to hello@atcha.me. Include the room code, roughly when it happened, and which phone and browser you used. For a purchase or your balance, include your account number. It is under Account in the app and at atcha.me/konto. We answer as soon as we can.

For the audience

Scan the QR code in the room, or type the room code at atcha.me. You need no app and no account.
With the Atcha app on iPhone, the QR code opens the talk right in the app, and Listen works with the screen locked too. The app is on the App Store.
The page chooses the language your phone uses. Change the language with the button at the bottom of the page.
Aa at the bottom of the page changes the text size and the appearance.
If you lose the network, the text stays. What is missing arrives when you are back.
The text stays for 24 hours after the talk has ended.

For speakers

Start a talk in the iPhone app or at atcha.me/speak. The app needs iOS 18 or later.
Give the app or the browser access to the microphone, and say something to test it before you go live.
In the browser, the screen must stay on while you speak.
Add names and technical terms before the talk, so speech recognition gets them in advance and the translation leaves them unchanged.
The text usually arrives 2–4 seconds after you have said a sentence. It is made with AI and can contain mistakes.

Purchases and refunds

Purchases in the iPhone app go through Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Purchases on the web go through Stripe, once they are open. Write to us for a refund.
Time you buy never expires. The terms of sale are at atcha.me/terms.

Privacy

We do not store audio, and the text is deleted 24 hours after the talk. Read the privacy policy. Questions about privacy: privacy@atcha.me.
